Eco Fashion Week
Going green is like second nature during Eco Fashion Week, a series of environmentally focused fashion events, mini-conferences and presentations held in downtown Vancouver each spring and fall. Attendees can learn all about sustainability, see the newest trends in eco-apparel, listen to top-notch DJ sets and sip cocktails at the opening and closing events. Local and international designers showcase their latest pieces on the catwalk to style-savvy locals and a growing number of fashion tourists who hit the city for the event.
Vancouver Fashion Week
Fashionistas, rejoice! As it turns out, Vancouver isn’t all yoga pants and rain boots, as evidenced by the ever-chic Vancouver Fashion Week. This semi-annual event, held in Chinatown, features a cavalcade of local designers, along with Canadian and international talent, showcasing their upcoming collections on the runway. Seven days of shows are capped on both ends by galas that prove to be the see-and-be- seen opportunities of the season.
Got Craft? Vancouver
If chain stores and corporate malls leave you feeling uninspired, add a much-needed dose of creativity to your shopping bag by attending Got Craft? Vancouver. Twice each year, this craft fair connects shoppers with local artisans, so you can support the Vancouver crafts community while stocking up on unique gifts and household items, such as vintage-inspired accessories, gluten-free baked goods, handmade ceramics, cozy knits, letterpress cards and gourmet chocolates. Got Craft? takes place the first Sunday of May as well as the first Sunday of December—perfect timing to pick something up for those on your holiday list.
