Couples Getaway in Vancouver

Whether you seek luxurious accommodations, scenic spots to sneak a kiss, or unforgettable adventures to bring you closer together, Vancouver will steal your heart.

Coffee at BuroDay One:

Vancouver’s best luxury hotels offer unparalleled amenities and services along with spectacular views of the city, water and mountains. Get an early start at Café Pacifica in the Pan Pacific Vancouver, a light-filled space on the waterfront. While you sip your coffee and enjoy one of the city’s best breakfast buffets, you and your loved one can take in the views that Vancouver is famous for. Afterwards, get back to nature with a whale watching adventure. Available from May through September, operators such as Prince of Whales, Wild Whales Vancouver, Vancouver Whale Watch, and Seabreeze Adventures offer the chance to see orcas, humpback whales, sea lions and porpoises in their natural environment.

When you return from your exhilarating morning, take things in the other direction with a relaxing couples massage at a spa in one of the city’s best hotels, such as the Fairmont Pacific Rim, the Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver or the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. For a truly local experience, you can even indulge in treatments that use Canadian ingredients and products.

Tonight, enjoy dinner at one of Vancouver’s most romantic restaurants, The Observatory, at the top of Grouse Mountain. Located on the North Shore, a scenic gondola ride will whisk you to the peak. Then, sit down for a formal dinner that showcases the best of the region’s ingredients, paired with an extensive wine list and a spectacular view of downtown that is unmatched.  Whether you seek luxurious accommodations, scenic spots to sneak a kiss, or unforgettable adventures to bring you closer together, Vancouver will steal your heart.

Couple CyclingDay Two:

This morning, enjoy a casual breakfast at Giovane Café in the Fairmont Pacific Rim. With some of the city’s best coffee and pastries, this is a great place to plan your day. From there, take a short stroll down the picturesque seawall towards Stanley Park- a national historic site of Canada, before renting bikes at Bayshore Bicycle Rentals . Once you’re on two-wheels,ride into the park and start exploring! Within Stanley Park’s 400 hectares, you’ll find secluded beaches, romantic picnic spots, and spectacular lookout. Don’t miss the much-photographed landmarks, First Nations totem poles, gorgeous gardens or the Vancouver Aquarium, a top attraction and leader in ocean research and conservation.

Heading south across the bridge from downtown, is Granville Island, a lovely spot for a romantic stroll among the studios of local artisans and craftspeople, along with galleries, independent boutiques and the much loved Granville Island Public Market. At the market, pick up the fixings for a picnic at a close-by park, or sit down for a local, seasonal feast at Edible Canada Bistro. Before leaving, be sure to check out the adjoining store, a treasure trove of foodie souvenirs such as maple syrup, jams, salts and sweet treats.

Tonight’s dinner will literally have you flying high! Board a Harbour Air floatplane on the waterfront for a 20-minute “flightseeing” tour over the city, water and mountains, landing in Horseshoe Bay, just north of the city. After you enjoy a leisurely three-course seafood feast at The Boathouse Restaurant, you’ll take the scenic drive back downtown via limousine.
