Sales Associate, Meetings and Conventions, Canada & International, Corporate
Tourism Vancouver is seeking a highly professional and motivated Sales Associate to join the Meetings & Conventions team to support the Canada & International, Corporate markets.
The Sales Associate will work as part of the Meetings and Conventions team supporting the Director of Sales, Canada & International, the Manager, Canada & International, Corporate as well as Tourism Vancouver’s in-market, UK based International Business Development representative and the in-market contract sales representative firm in China.
Responsibilities include ensuring all aspects of the sales and market development plan for the Canadian and International corporate markets are accomplished to the highest standards. The Sales Associate is expected to make an ongoing contribution to achieving and exceeding the KPIs, objectives and targets within these markets as well as working along with BestCities initiatives as they relate to the corporate market segment.
This role will be focused on delivering sales and market development activities and providing administrative support for the Canadian and International corporate markets. These responsibilities will focus on managing a database of key clients, delivering a high standard of customer sales and service effectively communicating with colleagues, clients, partners and Tourism Vancouver members. It will also involve Canada and International account research, prospecting, direct client interaction, organizing of and participating on client site inspections and fams.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar sales role within the tourism industry, preferably in the meetings & conventions market.
Strong organizational skills including good working knowledge of database systems, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office applications and social media are required.

Tourism Vancouver is seeking an enthusiastic Sales Associate, Leisure Travel, Europe & South Pacific to join the high performing Leisure Travel team.
The Sales Associate will work with a shared responsibility to ensure all aspects of market development and sales targets are accomplished to the highest standards. The Sales Associate will work with the Manager and is expected to make an ongoing contribution to achieving the goals, objectives and targets for the territory.
Reporting to the Manager, Sales & Market Development, Leisure Travel, Europe & South Pacific, this individual will deliver sales and market development services and achieve results in conjunction with the Business Plan for the designated market. Responsibilities will focus on leading initiatives in the retail sector, managing a database of key clients for the team, processing business leads and referrals on behalf of the tourism supplier community and delivering a high standard of customer service to clients, partners and Tourism Vancouver members.
The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in the tourism industry in a similar role; have knowledge of Tourism Vancouver’s members; be very organized; have strong administrative and communication skills, be professional and committed to sales results and service excellence.

Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable
Tourism Vancouver is seeking a Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable to join the Corporate Services team. This role will support those duties related to Accounts Payable in the Finance department.
Reporting to the Controller, the Finance Assistant is responsible for duties primarily
related to Accounts Payable. The primary focus will be to ensure all aspects of the
payment and purchasing cycle are accomplished in a timely and accurate manner.
This is a junior to intermediate accounting position. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in a similar role and enrolment in a CPA or CMA accounting program is preferred.
