Tourism Vancouver is seeking a Travel Trade Familiarization (FAM) & Special Projects Coordinator to join our Travel Trade team. The position reports to the Director of Sales, Travel Trade.
The Travel Trade FAM & Special Projects Coordinator will work as part of the Travel Trade sales team to ensure all aspects of the development for all markets are accomplished in a timely manner and to the highest standards. Reporting to the Director of Sales, Travel Trade this position involves providing logistical support, planning and coordination of destination familiarization tours (FAMS).
The FAM & Special Projects Coordinator will assist the Managers, Director and Vice President by providing sales and administrative support as required contributing to the team to achieve their goals, objectives and targets while servicing tourism supplier members and industry partners to the highest standards. The position is the CRM key user for the department and is also responsible for creating & distributing the electronic newsletter Trade Talk.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in the tourism industry; have knowledge of Tourism Vancouver members; be very organized; have a strong attention to detail; and committed to service excellence.
